A sustainable 13 storey commercial building in one of Dhaka's fastest developing areas.
Strata is shaped by its use and surroundings. In its commercial context the ground floor and lower floors are the most expensive areas because of its exposure to the people passing by. The importance of this has resulted in the main lobby being located at the back of the building ensuring maximised exposure of the companies located to the street on the lower floors.
Each level of the building has been manipulated to meet the regulations of 50% building/site ratio and simultaneously being formed to its optimal use. This variation adds identity to the different floors and makes it exciting to travel through the building.
In between the pockets of vegetation the facade of Strata reflects the sky beautifully. The double glazed system with incorporated, adaptable shading fins offers a comfortable indoor climate with increased daylight conditions.
